The advantage of Kyoto – Escape the heat & humid in summer!

The-Advantage-of-Kyoto

Kyoto has many exciting events such as Gion festival, Goyshama fire, and other traditional festivals held in various places during the summer.
Preparation begins months in advance of the Gion Festival, which starts with the Gion music performance.
Kyoto comes alive with a variety of events in the summer. On the terrace called “Yuka(Floor)” which is built along the Kamogawa river, you can enjoy your meal while being feeling the cool waterside breeze.
Kyoto summers tend to be hot, which makes traditional ways of avoiding the heat all the more enjoyable!

It’s a great way for you to practice Japanese and make new friends!

We strongly encourage our short-term students to participate in the after-class activities. By speaking to our volunteers in Japanese, your language skills will advance rapidly and you will be able to enjoy speaking Japanese!
